i love the way the frames are placed above this bed - leaning them on shelves as opposed to putting them into the walls makes a world of difference. plus, they're easy to mix and match.
lately i've been having this insane urge to paint one wall of my bedroom with magnetic or chalkboard paint. i'm leaning toward magnetic, maybe even in a color (i'm thinking blue or perhaps lilac? i've been so into purples lately...) because it's a rental, i'd have to paint it back eventually, but i plan on resigning my lease and being here for a while, not to mention it would only take me a weekend to do. the idea of having an entire magnetized wall; ie; a giant inspiration board - i just love it. i already have so many bulletin boards around my desk - they're filled with mementos, work assignments i've printed out, stories i'm working on, inspirational photos, magazine clippings...how cool would it be to just be able to place all of those haphazardly to the wall at any time with teeny little magnets?
