a historic moment: V Mag's "curves ahead"

are we really, finally, getting somewhere? after years and years of pin thin models, it seems that some of the industry is finally coming to terms with the idea that perhaps, just MAYBE, clothes might look good on something who isn't a stick. V is the first magazine to sincerely address this issue (though Glamour did feature "plus size" model [and i use that term lightly, as i don't really think renn is big] crystal renn a few months back, sparking the revolution) with a full set of spreads using plus sized women. that's right, plus sized women...not plus size models - there's a big difference. the shots below are at once haunting and incredible - they signal a change in the industry, a hope that perhaps women can stop forcing themselves to mimic unattainable standards. YES, V. here's to the use of more normal looking women in 2010.
